Anne Blyth – Director Museums and Heritage

Anne’s key responsibilities include overseeing the operational management and overall strategic direction of the Districts Museum & Heritage Assets

Henriata Nicholas – Exhibitions Coordinator

Henriata is of Ngāti Kahu, Ngāti Unu, Ngāti Whakaue, Ngāti Turumakina decent. Her expertise is concept development, planning, project management, curation and marketing of exhibitions, public programmes and Museum projects.

Henriata is a Māori artist designer with over 20 years experience in graphic design, illustration, painting, weaving, whatu kakahu, artist development, arts advisor, and specialises in iwi creative integrations within public artworks and civil projects.

Currently recruiting – Collections Manager

The Collections Manager is responsible for the care and accessibility of the Museum’s object and archive collections.

Research requests can be made by choosing the Archives and Research menu.

Kerrin Carr – Education Facilitator

Kerrin is new to our team and has leaped into developing, promoting, and facilitating education programmes for students aged 5-18. Our LEOTC (Learning Experiences Outside the Classroom) programmes not only give students the opportunity to have ‘hands on experience’ with taonga and objects, but also onsite delivery of our infamous Ngā Pakanga o Aotearoa – The New Zealand Wars around the district of Waipā.

Kerrin has huge experience in radio and media and is always looking for new ways to engage students in our local and national history. He lives in Ōhaupō with his wife and two children.

As the Museum Administrator, you are ‘face’ of the Museum, as well as keep all the background systems running smoothly and to oversee the Museum Hosts. You will also assist with the Research Service.

Miriam Grogan –  Collections Assistant (Part Time)

The Collections Assistant tasks include object handling, storage and record keeping to support the Collection Manager.

Miriam has a high interest in collection objects and archives. She lives locally with her husband and two small children.

Mandy Archer-Page – Museum Host (Part Time)

The Museums Hosts are responsible for visitor services and museum administration when they provides lunch cover, and over weekend and public holiday shifts.
