Description

Angus Brent (1903-2000) an English painter specialising in landscapes, presented this painting to the people of Cambridge on his 1951 tour to Aotearoa New Zealand.

Angus Brent studied at St Martin’s School of Art and privately with Bertram Nicholls. He exhibited extensively in England including the Fine Art Society in London. In 1951 he travelled to Aotearoa New Zealand and exhibited with the Auckland Society of Arts.
