Description

The Trinity-St Paul’s Union Church in Cambridge displays two rolls of honour commemorating those who served and died in the World Wars. A marble scroll listing 17 men from World War I and one from World War II (T J Beer) was unveiled in 1921 and rededicated in 1947. A larger marble tablet, unveiled in the same year, honours 11 men from Trinity Presbyterian Church who died in World War I, with an additional roll unveiled in 1948 listing five World War II names.

While framed wooden tablets for those who served in both wars are now lost, a roll of honour featuring 47 names and one woman (Sister E Nicholl) from World War II is preserved at the Cambridge Museum. The church itself, opened in 1979, continues to honour this legacy of sacrifice and remembrance.
