Physical description Five stone and concrete sculptures of various sizes depicting Karioi, Pirongia, Kakepuku, Te Kawa and Tokanui. A flax design spreads across three of the sculptures.

Description

The Sculpture Park was developed as a millennium project by volunteer group “Keep Te Awamutu Beautiful Society”.

This sculpture sits at the entrance of the park.

Physical description Machine-inscribed short stone rectangle pillars cemented in vegetation road berm.

Description

Six hinuera stone pillars erected within the roadside council berm in six locations down Shakespear Street.

All pillars are inscribed with various well-known poet quotes by Shakespear.

Physical description Multiple large cement water bowls placed in a sequence down a hill with water cascading through.

Description

Multiple sized cement pods/bowls used as a creative way to move water down the hill.

Each pod/bowl is designed to capture the water for a moment before cascading down to the next level.

Artist Iain Trousdell designed the sculpture in 1989 and was commissioned by the Cambridge Borough Council.

Description

The stone is polished and left natural. It represents Pirongia Maunga and the patupaiarehe children of the mist.

The sculpture is located in the centre of the Te Ngahere Reserve located in Pirongia.

Description

This artwork was gifted to Pirongia by the Pirongia Craft Day Committee in 2008, commemorating 30 years of the annual craft day.
