Join Tui & Tama for some creative fun after school!

Sign up to the Tui & Tama Club and get free access to the Creative Workshops, run monthly on a Wednesday afternoon with Lee from Colourburger.

All workshops are 3.30pm-4.30pm, free to attend although bookings are essential.

Te Awamutu Museum has gained the rights to present the classic 1955 film starring Richard Todd and Michael Redgrave.

Grab your popcorn for some great family fun!

We are delighted to confirm the screening dates below for the four screenings.

Please note that while these are free events, you will need to collect your ticket prior to the day of screening and present it on the day. There are only limited spaces available at each screening, so contact us today!

All screenings will be running 4pm-6pm, please arrive by 3.45pm to be seated.

Dambusters: Boffins, Bravery and Bouncing Bombs

By permission of the Air Force Museum of New Zealand, Dambusters is coming to Te Awamutu Museum!

Explore the planning that went into the infamous raid on the Ruhr Valley dams, the science behind the ‘bouncing bombs’ and the aftermath for both 617 Squadron and the residents of the Ruhr Valley.

The exhibition includes fascinating interactive components to highlight the science and ingenuity used during the raid.
