Welcome to our new Public Programme Schedule
Starting 1st July 2023, we have a new 6 month schedule of events, activities leading up to December!
The new Public Programme Schedule is focused on offering visitors monthly active learning experiences supported by exhibitions connected to national events, local history, significant taonga from the Museum collection or our amazing environment!
Each month begins on the Saturday with a FREE Tui & Tama Club event for existing and new members. Tui and Tama’s friends introduce the month’s theme and activities. Each club member receives a Tui & Tama Club Passport to record their participation at the end of the activities with a mascot sticker! Members collect all 6 mascot stickers to go into a special end of year prize pack!
We also have some Crafty Arty Adult Saturday workshops where visitors get to make, mend, create, inspire, and product crafty arty things. (Adults are described as 15yrs+)
Have you heard of Re Creators? In collaboration with Esther, from their Hamilton branch, they will be presenting child and adult friendly activities, plus Adult Crafting workshops.
We also have two amazing Collection Activities starting in July with a book-in to utilise our Ancestry.com subscription and our new digitising scanner. Two very exciting services for our community – if you’re researching your genealogy or want to digitise documents or photos, contact us on 07 872 0085 or email museum@waipadc.govt.nz.
