Toi Oriwa will take you through a myriad of mātauranga Māori mahi toi art and creativity through a series of workshop events.

Poi Making Workshop with Oriwa
Tues 13th & Tues 20th July July, over two weeks, two sessions per day:
10.00-12pm or 12.30pm-2.30pm
With materials supplied, make a set of poi, learn the waiata gong in terms reo Māori and the skilful actions of how to work your poi!
Cost: $5 per participant, per session
Ages: Open to all ages
Skill: Beginner

Tī Rākau Stick Game with Oriwa & Awatea
Wed 14th & Wed 21st July, over two weeks, two sessions per day:
10.00-12pm or 12.30pm-2.30pm
Every participant gets to design their very own tī rākau and learn the waiata/song in Te Reo Māori along with the actions to the game. A great cost effective whānau activity of skill.

Ukulele with Oriwa and Awatea
Thurs 15th & Thurs 22nd July, over two weeks, two sessions per day:
10.00-12pm or 12.30pm-2.30pm
Ever wanted to lean Ukulele in a fun environment? Bring your Ukulele to this fun workshop and lean basic chords, strums and participate in a mini concert!
Cost: $5 per participant, per session
Ages: Open to all ages
