We have some new game tables up in the mezzanine that introduce Tui & Tama’s new friends. Meet these new friends by spotting them around the Museum, then get an entry form from reception, fill it in and go into the draw for two prize packs.
As members you’ll also receive a special friends badge!
Don’t worry if you’re not a member, you can pick up a registration form online from here or come into the Museum and pick one up at our reception, it’s FREE to join!

Story time with nationally recognised local author Kat Quin of the award winning Kuwi the Kiwi books.
Join Kat at the Museum for an afternoon of sharing with us her latest Matariki book..
Flit the Fantail and the Matariki Map
Guided by the twinkling Matariki starts, Flit and his friends try to find their way home. With native NZ flora and fauna, some insight into Matariki, counting in te reo, and featuring the cutest of lead characters, this is a book that Kiwi kids will treasure.
Kat will be reading her book, which will be available for purchase and signing. There will be Matariki-themed activities and a Matariki member badge to collect!

Time: Two sessions: 2.30pm for pre-schoolers, and 3.30pm for school-aged kids.

Join Tui & Tama at the Museum for a fun filled afternoon of activities!
We’ve been running the Tui & Tama Club Easter Egg Hunt since 2016. For one day, we transform the Museum into a space for bunnies to find hidden eggs around the Museum. You get to dress up in your favourite costume and have fun with your friends and parents.
Usually from 3.30pm-5.00pm, a FREE event promoted on social media and everywhere we can think of.
There’s always the activity trail, arts and crafts, spot prizes and more!

A Favourite Event for all Tui & Tama Club Members!
Something spooky takes over the whole Museum for this spooktacular event! Tui & Tama’s Spooktacular Halloween Party is a great event for the whole family. Come in your spookiest costume, do the ghostly trail and activities and dip into the cauldron to get your treat!
If you’re not yet a Tui & Tama Club member, you can pick up a registration form from the Museum reception anytime during working hours pre the event.
Free entree starting at 3.30pm-5.00pm, Thursday 26th October. Parental supervision is essential, as lost children will be given to the goblins hee, hee, hee!
