New Public Programming Launched!
Starting July 2023 through to December 2023!
This involves a FREE Tui & Tama Club Saturday event at the beginning of each month from 10.30am-1.30pm.
This is a FREE event with loads of activities and a special Tui & Tama Activity Passport – members collect all 6 mascot stickers after completing each month’s activities.
The activities will be ongoing for all visitors through til the end of the month, but you only get a Tui & Tama Passport if you’re a member.
It is FREE to sign up to be a Tui & Tama Club member – you receive loads of benefits being a member:
- A personalised welcome letter from Tui & Tama,
- A quarterly newsletter to keep you up to date on what’s happening in the Museum,
- A special Birthday card from Tui & Tama,
- A FREE Kids Club badge,
- Special invitations to events and activities open to club members only.
Kākāpō is hosting Matariki in the month of July!
Ruru is hosting Ancestry in the month of August!
Huhu is hosting Te Reo Māori in the month of September!
Taniwha is hosting Māori Myths & Legends in the month of October!
Tuna is hosting We Love Tuna in the month of November!
Koura is hosting What’s in our Moana in the month of December!
The Te Awamutu Museum – Education & Research Centre has a kids club! The Tui & Tama’s Kids Club is aimed at children 5yrs-12yrs, although we do welcome every age. However, our main programs cater for school aged children.
As a member you will receive a welcome letter from our awesome mascots, a quarterly e-newsletter to keep you updated on special Museum events and programs, plus the registration is FREE!
